When Sephora offered to let me try Peter Thomas Roth's Viz-1000 I jumped at the chance. Peter Thomas Roth's Viz-1000 is a super-concentrated face serum that attracts 1000 times its weight in water from the moisture in the air. It promises to leave skin feeling "healthy, supple, and youthfully radiant."
It's fragrance-free, which I like, and is infused with all kinds of reputedly miraculous ingredients such as silk proteins, sea algae, honey and yerba santa. It all sounded very impressive on the ingredients list, but I was eager to see the actual results for myself.
The first night I applied the serum to my face before bed and then used my regular moisturiser over the top (Weleda Soothing Almond Facial Cream). As I applied the serum, I felt it sinking right into my skin and at first wondered whether it was going to be a little dry. But the next morning after my shower, I applied it again underneath my moisturiser, and immediately noticed a difference.
My face felt smooth - the kind of smooth you get after using a face scrub and mask. Later in the day, I inspected my face again. Some of the flakiness on my forehead seemed to have gone. The second day I noticed once again that my skin was smoother than usual, and again, a little more of the flakiness on my forehead had disappeared.
By the third day, the flakiness was almost completely gone, and I was noticing a new, pleasant glow to my skin.
Overall, this is a very nice little product. I've used serums in the past and haven't seen great results. This one? I will probably keep using it. It's a pricey habit to keep up, retailing at $75 CAD. Definitely more than I'd usually pay for such a product.

Awesome giveaway! :) I recently bought my first NIGHT CREAM. That's where I'm at, my friend. I use just an Olay night cream and day moisturizer, and I know I should probably upgrade to something better, but I'm not sure WHAT!

And... of course I subscribe! :)
I have been blessed with fairly good skin, so I don't need to do much to it.
I do get occasional dryness, though, and thanks to the helpful gals at Sephora, I'm now a *huge* fan of Philosophy's Hope in a Jar moisturizer.
I put on sunscreen when I'm outside. I really need a good moisturizer that doesn't make my face break out.
I moisturize day and night and never ever go to bed with makeup!

I'm horrendous on my skin. I use whatever face wash and moisturizer is on sale...so usually $3 or so!
I follow you!
I finally decided to splurge a little on my skin too since it was a disaster. I tend towards oily so I went with an organic mask Kibio and a Dermae skin lightener to fade old brownish spots. Been using less than 2 weeks and I already am seeing a difference! Bought both at Shoppers.
I agree that Calgary is tough on the skin. My hands are the worst these days, with all the diaper changes and hand washing, so I'm constantly slathering on hand cream. Approaching middle age (!!!!) is making my face complicated... breakouts combined with crowsfeet and fine lines... what to do, what to do? I'm still searching for my perfect combination, but I do now wear moisturizer with sunscreen every day.
p.s. just subscribed to your email feed.
These products sound great! I usually just wash my face twice a day and use oil of olay lotion.
Thanks

Cetaphil, Biotherm exfoliating scrubs a few times a week and as much cream as I remember to apply is my routine. Nonetheless age and Alberta weather is killing me! I ask: When did I start to look so old? Blame it on the kids I guess!
I'll RT you on Twitter. @poundlounge
I switched last October to Arbonne RX9 anti aging line and I really like it...definitely has made my skin feel so much nicer and looks better too. This product review sounds amazing!!! Would love to try it!!
I also wash with Cetaphil and Olay moisturizer with spf....though I think I'm reaching that age where I should start with an anti-aging routine.

Nice.
I use lotion on my skin. It can get pretty dry.
This product sounds exactly what I need1 I have very dry patches, especiallyaround my eyes, and really don't have much success with purchased moisturizers.
Giving myself an egg facial occasionally and cleansing daily help keep my face soft and clean.

Another blog gave me this, the easiest DIY face treatment ever. Take some rolled oats and grind them a little finer (not to flour). Wet your face and massage the oatmeal on. Leave it for a few minutes and then rinse off. Your face will feel so soft, and over time this really helps with sensitive skin.

To look after my skin I cleanse, tone and moisturize everyday. I also love using a facial mask at least once a week to deep clean my skin.

As I've gotten a little older and wiser I've started staying out of the sun more and wearing my sunscreen. My skin is very sensitive and dry so I have trouble finding products that agree with me. This sounds very gentle

I use Oil of Olay regenerating serumand soap and water.
